Not normally: If done right, by breaking open the top of a whitehead and creating a way to drain, some pimples can be evacuated by squeezing. The problem, if you don't have the practice, is that just squeezing them can break out the bottom and spill infection into surrounding tissue. This causes a more severe infection as a result.

The correct answer: Is no, but everyone does it. Sometimes popping them will cause them to burst under the skin and create a cyst-which can last for weeks or more. Blackheads can be removed with a comedone extractor, that you can purchase at a drug store. White heads, usually can be emptied without much pressure. Red or tender pimples should probably be left alone until they "come to a head.".
