Complex cysts: Complicated name for several cysts growing in a clump with some tissue or wall of one cyst appearing to thicken on x-rays. Most often a benign condition. Can look like a bunch of grapes. It can be a congenital finding in a child, or be acquired later in adult life.

A 16-year-old female asked:
I have been told that i may need my kidney out because I have some internal cysts that are over producing renin, is there any other treatment available?

Renovascular HTN: Renin can cause high blood pressure. Okay to ask your medical team for more information about your case. Take a friend or family with you, ask about artery blockage to your kidney, and if both your kidneys are healthy. Be well.
