I was wondering what is the end stage of cirrhosis?

That is the end: When the liver is affected by constant insult or injury, often in relationship to hepatitis or other inflammatory diseases, fibrosis (scarring) is started. It is separated into 4 stages, stage 1-4. Cirrhosis is the end stage of scarring, and is the same as stage IV (4). You cannot return to normal liver function once the liver is cirrhotic.

Stage 4 fibrosis.: IT IS A FIBROTIC LIVER, STAGE 4 (4 OUT OF 4) FIBROSIS. CIRRHOTIC LIVER IS NON-REVERSIBLE. IT'S A PROGRESSIVE DISEASE AND CAN LEAD TO LIVER FAILURE.
