Please explain what are some symptoms of a hernia?

Assuming you: Are talking about external hernias, symptoms are visible bulge, pain, nausea, and vomiting. If you have any of these symptoms other than asymptomatic bulge, you should have surgical repair when feasible. Ask for a referral to a surgeon for specific recommendations.

Bulge and pain: These are the most common symptoms from a hernia. If they are getting worse, and/or severe, see a general surgeon for a consultation. Surgeons interested in hernia disease can be found on the Americas Hernia Society website. Its also ok to start with your primary care provider. Urgency depends in severity of symptoms. Hope this helps!
