Hemorrhoids: Most likely it is due to hemorroids or an anal fissure if you have a tearing pain with bm's. Correcting the constipation should quickly resolve this. Iof not, you need an exam and possible colonoscopy to determine the underlying cause for the bleeding.

May be: There are very many casuses of blood in stool including damage to anus from hard stool. You ought to consult your doctor for a work-up and not assume that it is due to constipation. See this site for more info. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/blood-in-stool.
