Please tell me what does 3mm right foraminal disc protrusion mean?

May mean nothing but: Just an imaging finding meaning there is a small disc herniation in the area of the nerve root exiting the spine on the right side which could be a source of back ;/or right side radicular pain with 90% getting better non operatively or an incidental finding with no cause of symptoms.

Foramina is: The small opening/hole along the side of the spine where nerves exit from the spinal cord and go out to the periphery. Sometimes a disc will herniate to one side more than the other and cause some foraminal narrowing, and often can lead to irritation of the nerve root exiting that level. 3mm is not uncommon size and just suggest you may have some narrowing at that foramen. Hope that helps!

It is a Herniation: By definition a disc protrusion is a herniated disk.
