Valplast partials: They can be a great temporary replacement for 1 (to several) teeth. Main advantage is they are small, thin, flexible and relatively comfortable without using metal clasps for retention. Main disadvantage is that they cannot be easily adjusted and cannot be repaired or modified. Unfortunately too many dentists and many patients use them for permanent (or semi-permanent) replacements.

I don't like them: I find valplast partials to be impossible to repair, impossible to design to control biting forces, bulky, and always pressing against large, flat areas of enamel. In short, i don't like 'em.

Temporary fix: Valplast partials are ok for short term or possibly for financial reasons. After everything becomes stable, you would want to consider a more permanent solution.
