Access to care: Access to care or the ability of a child to be seen regularly due to cost, lack of proper insurance and trained specialists on the plans due to government regulations and restrictions that make it hard for practitioners to easily join the plan and get reimbursed fairly and in a timely manner. This is causing problem for the underprivileged in remote areas as well. Long discussion, sorry. Dr mokbel.

Tooth decay: Despite great advances in preventive dental care, about 27% of preschoolers and over 40% of school age children in the us experience tooth decay. A major cause of this is consuming high carbohydrate foods and acidic drinks (soda, gatorade, etc.). Better eating habits will also help decrease childhood obesity as well.
