A member asked:

What is the drug carafate, (sucralfate) and what is it used for? thank you.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sucralfate 4 ulcer: It is a medication used to treat stomach/duodenal ulcers, to prevent it, or to treat those with severe oral ulceration (epidermolysis bullosa). It is a relatively safe medication, but not as effect as other medication such as the famous purple pill. Some people do benefit from it and so still in use. Have fun learning. Good luck.
