100% polyester blanket and at night if i rubbed the blanket together a lot of static comes and it sparks up can it be harmful? how do i get it out.

It's pretty!: The static that builds up is a normal occurrence when the heat is on in the winter. If it really bothers you, lower the thermostat in your house to less than 65 degrees, and run a humidifier to get to about 50% humidity. The fireworks show should at least slow down.
