Chest Pain: Chest pain can be attributed to many things. If you have crushing chest pain, go to the er. You can rule out reflux by trying a two-week trial of otc omeprazole. Take 1 cap in the am, asap when you get up, 30" before breakfast. If you are feeling better in 2-3 weeks, you'll know it's tummy and not your heart. Doc can help with prescription strength meds and referral to GI doc for egd if needed.

Need more info: Where in the chest? What kind of pain? What brings it on? How long does it last? What eases it? Taken any medication for it and did it help? Any family history or medical history related to chest pain? Please resubmit question with much more detail so we can give you a qualified answer other than just going to the er or seeing your dr -- both of which are options.
