Need more info: This medication has several ingredients, one of which (theophylline) could worsen an underlying heart condition & cause chest pain. Without more information on the type of pain or your medical history I strongly recommend you call Dr & you may need to be seen/examined/have EKG & other tests done to evaluate this at your age.

Alchophyllex: Avoid this medication which I feel has too many ingredients in it and you have had an intolerance and untoward reaction to one or more of the ingredients, probably theophylline. I recommend drinking some hot weak tea and applying heat to the upper abdomen. If you can, taking acetaminophen may help. If distress persists or worsens, call your MD or proceed to the emergency room.
