Cremasteric reflex: It was probably i hibited by the hernia. It is normal.

Cut muscles: If your testicle does not raise up this may be a normal result of cutting the cremasteric muscles which is normal in hernia repair. If the testicle is higher it is possible scarring has pulled the testicle up as the tissue tightens.
