Botox for bladders: The recovery period is about 24 hours basically. Any improvement should be noticed within a day or two. Unfortunately the effects of the Botox eventually wear off and additional treatments would be needed.

See answer: Botox begins to work at about 1 week, but the full effect of the medicine may take up to 2-3 weeks. Botox is not permanent and will last about 6-8 months in the bladder. Most common adverse effects are urinary retention and an increased risk of uti. No specific restrictions on activity or diet are generally needed after the procedure when done in the office under local anesthesia.
