Colitis: This inflammatory condition of the colon has many potential causes, including toxins, bacteria, viruses, parasites, non-infectious conditions like crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. The best way in which to resolve this is to be seen by a doctor and examined and tested appropriately. Good luck and happy new year.

Get checked: Two weeks is long enough to call for some testing. Lab tests are performed on stool to look for parasitic or other infectious diseases, such as giardiasis. You could be exposed to this from children in daycare or from wellwater, but this is just an example.
