Panic disorder: If untreated is a very frightening experience which sends them to emergency rooms on a frequent basis until it becomes clear that the problem is not a medical one, but psychological. Therefore it is very costly. Once someone gets psychological treatment, it is not hard to help them get over the disorder using cognitive behavioral therapy and some insight oriented treatment.
