Refractive surgery: Is not recommended for children in general. This is due to the fact that the refractive error (i.e. Amount of power in glasses) changes during the first 15-20 years of our lives. It's not a good idea to have refractive surgery until the refractive error is stable for at least 1-2 years. This typically doesn't occur until at least 20 yrs old.
