Antihistamine: Loratadine is a new generation antihistamine marketed as claritin (loratadine). While most patients do not experience significant side effects (usually very well tolerated), some people may have drowsiness (especially at higher than usual dose), dry mouth or headache. These side effects were similar to those taking placebo (sugar pill).
