Don't get old: All kidding aside, age-related refractive error changes are usually inevitable. As we get older the lens in our eye changes and its ability to bend light changes thus affecting refractive error. As we get older we also lose her ability to focus up close, a condition called as presbyopia. A few unlucky patients who are very nearsighted may also have progression of their myopia as they age.
