A 35-year-old female asked:

Is inhaling & exhaling entirely through the nose a healthier way to breathe (ie strengthen the lungs) instead of thru the mouth?

Nose is preferred: Air going through the nose gets moisturized, warmed up, and filtered and thus it is a preferred way to breathe except during strenuous exertion when you will need to breathe through your mouth. Neither method strengthens your lungs.
