My teeth turned gray all of a sudden. i've been having a pomegranate/day for the past couple days & think i chipped 2 teeth. could this be why gray?

Most likely: Yes, some foods or fruits have natural chemicals that will turn teeth grayish . Stop your new pomegranate "adventure" and see what happens. Advise to brush your teeth with whitening tooth paste. See a dentist to treat your chipped teeth.

Stain: If discoloration appears suddenly, it is usually a surface stain due to some food or liquid. Check with your dentist to see for sure.

I doubt it: The combination of two chipped teeth and gray discoloration suggest to me some underlying decay or other problem. My guess is that the grey color you see did not come about suddenly but was probably there for awhile and you just noticed it. That might be amalgam staining. Regardless, you should should your dentist right away for an exam, x-rays, evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Purple gray teeth: I have a pt who drinks a great deal of red wine and their teeth now have a purple-gray hue to them so it very well could be stain because i know pomegranites can stain. Have it checked out to at least get the chipped teeth fixed.
