Could be lots: Could be anything from neuromuscular problem to TMJ syndrome. As malocclusion (bad bite) is implicated in or causative of the great majority of jaw joint problems, it would be wise to also consult with an orthodontist. Get all the information you can before proceeding down any particular treatment path.

TMJ: Likely jaw joint (TMJ) problem. Start with oral surgeon. If TMJ problem confirmed, see TMj-orafacial pain expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ orafacial pain.expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
