Caffeine: Caffeine in coffee ramps up your sympathetic nervous system, increasing heart rate, respiratory rate, etc. Some people feel alarmed with such physiological changes, anxiety mounts -- breathing becomes more rapid and shallow along with the sensation of difficulty getting breath. Most likely you're having a response to the caffeine and it will wear off. You may need more help w/anxiety overall.
