A member asked:

Does a wart growth imply weak immune system? i have had 3 finger warts (removed last year) but recently noticed 1 growing on my index finger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: The wart virus is a pretty tricky entity. It can hide out in skin cells and avoid our immune system. Often our immune system will finally identify the virus and mount a defense but every patient can be different. If you are really concerned about your immune system i suggest discussing it with your gp. A dermatologist can also help you treat warts.
