See a rheumatologist: Patellar tendinitis lasting 2 years at your age could be due to overuse if you are very athletic. It could also be a sign of a disease associated with joint abnormalities or hypermobility syndrome. It is also possible you have the wrong diagnosis. Chondromalacia patella is a common condition for women your age which causes knee pain. There are also a number of other possibilities.
