Diarrhea: My rule has been that if a person has something physically wrong for three or more days they should see someone. Here are a few causes: irritable bowel syndrome stress, depression, anxiety, or previous intestinal infection, inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, food poisoning. Good luck. Need more information.

Yes!: Any time an unusual or undesirable symptom lasts more than 3 days, you need to seek professional counsel. Be sure to stay hydrated with lots of water and get to a doctor asap. Extended diarrhea can be dangerous to your health.

Flu Season: It is the flu season and this past two weeks I have really seen an uptick in the stomach flu. I would advise contacting your family doctor if you feel feverish, have pain, or cannot stay hydrated well enough to be passing urine. If you are not feverish and have no pain then i would advise a patient to use immodium first.
