Croup: How old is your son? If this is the first episode, no real issues. If it is recurrent he should be checked for reflux. First episode, check with the pediatrician. A steroid burst will reduce the inflammation and shorten the course. When he is coughing really hard take him into the bathroom and run the hot shower and the humidity will help stop the cough. If it is cold outside, take him there.
