Prone to relax: High vagal tone refers to ease of excitement of the parasympathetic branch of autonomic nervous system, which functions to maintain homeostasis, decrease anxiousness, slow heart, ameliorate digestion ; elimination, ; effect ejaculation ; orgasm, i.e., pleasure functions. Other branch, sympathetic, operant w. Fight ; flight for survival. Excess vagal tone can predispose to syncope (fainting).
