Differences of meds: Lisinopril (l) is a member of the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ace-i) class of drugs. Cozaar (losartan) (c) is a member of the angiotensin receptor blocker (arb) class of drugs. Both l and c lower blood pressure as well as lowering proteinuria. L has a greater tendency to cause a cough and more patients can tolerate arb's better than drugs of the ace-i class due to this.
