Clot: There are many factors that cause clots including high blood pressure , blood disorders and others . Frequently there is pain warmth and swelling with venous clots. There is so much info on clots and their formation there isn't room here. See your family doc if you suspect this . You may be referred to a vascular specialist for more help.

See below: You may feel a knot or cord in the back of the leg, the leg will feel colder, there will be pain when you squeeze the calf or surrounding area.
