Myopic degeneration.: Myopic degeneration is related to stretching of the eye tissue which occurs due to increased axial length of myopia. Firstly, you would need an annual retinal exam to look for retinal holes or tears. If found, they need to be treated with laser immediately. Other problems that may occur with myopic degeneration is choroidal neovascular membranes in the macula, similar to wet amd.

Not many: There are at least four problems that occur as part of this condition. First as the tissues stretch, there is a 'withering away' of one tissue layer needed for vision (RPE) which cannot be treated. Abnormal new blood vessels grow under the retina in some cases, and these can be treated. Myopic retinoschisis and myopic macular hole can be treated with vitrectomy or other surgery with some success
