Can you tell me the different between pain killer drugs and anesthesia drugs in veterinary medicine?

In general: Anesthesia related drugs are more potent and may act on the central nervous system more broadly than a "pain killer" would. Some anesthetics inhibit (muscle) movement and may cause sedation, or even sleep. These effects are not typical of pure "pain killers.".
