Eye exam: Consists of: 1. Visual acuity of both eyes and determination of refractive error 2. Pupil exam 3. Evaluation of eye movements and visual fields 4. Exam of the eyelids, anterior segments of both eyes and a check of the intraocular pressures 5. Dilation of the pupils which allow exam of the lenses and retinas. There are other parts of the exam which are sometimes done based on symptoms.
