A member asked:

Please tell me what happens in an eye exam these days?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your medical : History is taken, the vision is checked, of not 20/20 then a refraction is done to see isf the vision can be improved. The eyes will then be examined with a bright light called a slit lamp. The pupils are then dilated with drops so as to examine the retina completely. The pressure of the eye is also measured. The examine does not hurt and take about 10-20 minutes. No need to worry over this.
