Mood stabilizers: Mood stabilizers lessen the intensity of mood swings from one extreme to the other. Hallucinations are typically experienced when bipolar patients are in the unmedicated extremes of mania. Therefore when properly medicated and going to therapy, the mania is controlled, and the hallucinations should decrease.
