Ask them why?: Did they prescribe the medication because of symptoms you reported? Were they concerned that some of your symptoms were related to anxiety? No harm in asking them what their reasoning for doing so would be.

Assume: that cardiologist evaluated for cardiac issues. If anxiety is believed to contribute to or to cause your symptoms -then this sounds like an appropriate medication choice. Take care.
