A member asked:

Can you tell me the leading causes of loss of vision. list as many as possible not just 1 answer. can it be curable without laser treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Two categories: 1) permanent loss: inherited disease, birth defects, severe injury, advanced diabetic disease, retinal vascular occlusion brain stroke, macular degeneration--and others 2) correctable loss: glaucoma, cataracts, vitamin deficiencies, surface infection, corneal opacities, multiple sclerosis, early diabetic changes -- and others. There are many paths to correction or cure; laser also.
