Yes but why: Modern cataract removal is generally done with ultrasound through a self sealing incision requiring no stitches. Is there a particular reason why you are fond of stitches in your eyes? You will heal better and more smoothly without them but I am sure you can pay a little extra to a cataract surgeon to have some stitches put somewhere in your eye to satisfy your needs.

Unecessary: A properly constructed cataract incision does not require stitches, and is only 2-3 mm long (less than 1/16th inch.

Yes: Yes. Any surgeon can place a suture if needed or requested.

Yes suture: Stitches (sutures) for cataract surgery help to secure the wound. Most eyeMDs try to do small incision cataract surgery to avoid the need for sutures as they can be uncomfortable, can protrude & cause an infection, can increase risk of infection when removed (though rare). If requested & risk understood, an eyeMD likely would be willing to put one in for extra security:wound will not open postop.
