Trigeminal neuralgia or temporomandibular joint disorder (lock jaw), what to do?

Dental evaluation: Even though both are facial problems that can be painful, they are unrelated. Trigeminal neuralgia is a sharp, intense style pain of very short duration(seconds) caused by trigger points being touched. Tmjd is a painful condition caused by the dislocation of a meniscus (cartilage) in the joint itself, that can actually block the movement of your jaw from opening and/or closing. Diagnosis decides tx.

They are trained two years longer than a general dentist in CODA approved universities (e.g. UCLA, USC, etc) and you will be getting the most accurate diagnosis and conservative treatment.
