A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities: Even in rheumatoid arthritis, 25% of people never make rheumatoid factor. A host of joint diseases, including most juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, infectious arthritis, parvo b19, chikungunya, lyme disease, hemochromatosis, alkaptonuria, reactive arthritis and psoriatic arthritis usually have no rheumatoid factor.
