Green Tea = better !: Tea is derived from the camellia sinensis tree. The leaves contain antioxidant polyphenols which have an anti-carcinogenic effect. Lighter tea (white ; green) is less processed. Black tea is dried ; fermented. Studies suggest green tea can assist with glycemic control as well as reduced heart disease death rate. There are more studies around that suggest benefits from green tea than for black.
