A member asked:

Can you tell me the most important vaccines to be given in the first year of a baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies: I have a hard time excluding any, but from my experience: pertussis, tetanus, oral polio and hib vaccines act early to guard against devastating disease that strike in early infancy, the others will provide help against other illnesses, so they are certainly worthwhile, but life would be miserable without these and many babies would be lost if they were delayed..
