Varies by patient: Surely there are many classes of medications that a transplant patient takes, starting with a number of anti-rejection drugs, called immunosuppressive agents. Then to prevent infections caused by the weakened immune system, several anti-infection medications are taken. Others might consist of blood pressure meds, diabetes meds, some specific for the cause of liver disease, such as hepatitis meds.
