That is a complex qu: Yes and no. Each test can help to detect some of these possible diagnoses , yet not all the time. The symptoms of each condition differ; so that helps the doctors to select the right test. Any tumors will easily show up unless it is inside the spine where MRI scan is much better test than a ct scan.
