My 6 months chaild is having 17200cmm wbc count and 4.8 lakhs platelets, will there be any effect to him?

Why WBC high?: An elevated white blood cell count in a child usually means an infection, but could mean other things as well. 4.8 lakes platelets--don't know what that means. The increased WBC will not harm the child. The point is what is causing the high wbc. The pediatrician or family physician needs to find out.
