Not many options: Surgical excision of a hydrocele is the most common form of treatment. Treatment is only indicated if you have pain or pressure or if the integrity of the scrotum is compromised. Simple aspiration of the fluid is ineffective, because the fluid rapidly accumulates. Aspiration of the fluid may be combined with instillation of a sclerosing agent, but there are risks involved with this therapy.
