Pain: Without a physical exam , that is extremely difficult to answer. Based on your description i would suspect infracalcaneal bursitis with peroneal tendonitis secondary to plantar fasciitis. That is speculation. Your best solution is to see your podiatrist for an exam , x rays and a diagnosis.

Many possibilities: Some causes of painful “lumps” may include: bony overgrowths, soft tissue masses, ganglions, fibromas, and cysts. Have it evaluated by a professional to get the right diagnosis.
