Possibly: Recent research suggests that a history of multiple concussions increases the risk of als, but more research is needed. Fortunately, the vast majority of those with concussions will never get als. The cause of ALS is largely unknown; genetic factors play a role in some cases. Lyme disease may cause symptoms very similar to ALS ; should thus be ruled out.
