Zinc? : Amongst doctors interested in nutrition there has been concern that low zinc stores might be related to a tendency to develop stretch marks. I cannot quote any documented research about this matter. Another sign of low zinc is reputed to be those crescent horizontal white lines seen in finger nails and that have been called "lie lines".
