What is bursitis and are its symptoms very similar to arthritis symptoms?

Inflammation: A bursa is a structure you body places between skin, tendons, and bone to allow for smooth movement. When a bursa is swollen and inflamed, it is called bursitis. Arthritis is inflammation within a joint. So both problems are similar: inflammation. They involve different structures: a bursa or a joint. The treatments are often similar.
